CASSIE'S BLOG
5-14-2012
Life has been so hectic for me lately, first I went on an excellent adventure, and got lost. I didn't have any idea where I was. The next thing you know this guy came along in a truck and picked me up and put me in a cage thing in his truck. What a nerve! He took me to this place where he had caged up a bunch of other dogs. I was really getting scared now, and they started calling me Petunia! I don't look anything like a pig!
I won't bore you with all the details, but I finally ended up at Lab Rescue, thank goodness! I went to a real nice foster home and I thought I was there for good, but I was wrong. Saturday, me and my foster mom went to this place with a whole lot of other dogs and lots of people. It was kind of overwhelming but I didn't let on. Then I met this great big dog who looks a lot like me only huge! His name was Salem, and the next thing I knew I was going with him and his mom to their van, I had been "ADOPTED" Now I am living with them!
A LITTLE ABOUT ME, CASSIE
The Following is from my foster mom, Kathi: "Cassie has such an incredible way of understanding people’s emotional needs and sweetly responds with a soft paw on your hand when you need attention. She rarely barks in the house, and plays and hangs out with our Labs. She likes to be close to us wherever we are, but she also likes her quiet moments and will often head to her bed to take time by herself. She loves to have ear rubs and we always tell her how good and how beautiful she is while we rub the ears. She does have a wonderful lab lean as she shows you her love".
"We are working on table manners and she is getting the idea that doggie noses don’t belong on tables and counters. She does best on an EZ harness as she can pull at times. She will walk nicely when I set the pace with her. She takes treats gently. Cassie needs a home that is cautious in opening doors and gates as she will take herself for a walk".
